The goal for this event was to make every printed piece an extension of Global Health Innovation's (GHI's) updated brand.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AFRICA
One of the ideas that GHI had to really immerse the guests in their work in Africa was what they called "A Day In The Life of Africa". They gave me photographs and content that describes the work they do, the people the work with, and the places that they are located, and we turned them into a series of posters. These posters lined the upstairs portion of the venue, and guests could walk through and get a feel for the great work that GHI does.
They had felt like in previous years, their Ask Card (probably the most important portion of a Fundraiser) was too complicated. So, I tried to incorporate the rest of the brand that we created for the event and make the card as simple as possible. These kinds of things aren't necessarily the most glamorous portion of designing for an event, but I think they're incredibly important. From start to finish, you never want a person to engage with something that doesn't feel intentional, and these little touches go a long way.
